The CC4C Toolkit is built to accompany the live training. You are welcome to download it and fill in your responses in the electronic PDF. Don’t forget to save your changes if you are working on your Toolkit. Below the CC4C toolkit are other versions of the same material for different purposes (for Behavioral Health Workers, for Leaders guiding their teams, and for COVID-19 mental wellbeing and recovery).
CC4C Toolkit (to accompany live training)
This toolkit is written to accompany the live training but could also be used as a self-paced resource to improve overall wellbeing, short term stress management, and long-term resilience.

About the above toolkit: Elements from this CC4C Toolkit were developed as a part of the original programming “Past the Pandemic”, a program launched in June 2020 to support health care workers in response to the COVID-19 crisis. These tools were developed in collaboration with colleagues in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus. The Stress Continuum and Battery Worksheets are adapted with permission from the Responder Alliance. For more resources on these topics, visit https://www.responderalliance.com/.
The GRIT portion of the Toolkit is developed by colleagues with the Lyda Hill Institute for Human Resilience at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. These tools are an abbreviated version of the full GRIT training, which can be found at grit.uccs.edu. This training is no cost and has been adapted for many populations, including for community members in the general public.
Each of these programs, Past the Pandemic and GRIT, function independently and have been combined for a limited time (October 2024-June 2025) to offer half-day workshops through the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and their Co-Cares initiative.
Toolkit for Behavioral Health Care workforce:
This toolkit has similar tools, with more examples and tangible exercises tailored for behavioral health workers, therapists and mental health professionals.

Guide for Teams implementing these tools:
This toolkit was built as an instructional, step-by-step guide for leaders, supervisors, and administrators who are hoping to teach these tools to their teams. Elements such as psychological safety, the importance of nature, tone and presentation of tools, as well as setting are taken into account.

Past the Pandemic: Mental Wellbeing Toolkit
This is the original toolkit that was created alongside the Past the Pandemic series. While this was written during the Covid-19 pandemic, many still find it helpful in naming the impact of this disaster. Elements such as grief, impacts on health, relationships and stress are covered extensively in this 42-page toolkit with additional resources on each topic.
